How to get there
The major airport and gateway to the islands of Fiji is Nadi International Airport. Nadi is found on the west coast of Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji, on the opposite side of the island to Suva, the capital. There are direct flights from Singapore, the USA (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas), Hong Kong, Tokyo, and all major cities in Australia. On arrival, expect to be greeted by ukelele players and people singing, sweeping you up in their joyous way of living. Expect to take a car or taxi to Port Denarau, which is approximately 20 minutes from the airport, where you will be greeted by our Adventure Yacht crew.
When to go
You can find high-quality surf spots all year round; however, the ‘best’ conditions are known to be March to October. For pros, it’s all about ‘Cloudbreak’, a feature on the 2025 World Surf League tour. This is where you can experience the raw energy of the South Pacific during peak swell season, where regular offshore southeasterly trade winds produce the best barrels. For beginners, the protected lagoons form the most beautiful backdrop for learning the basic skills required to catch your first wave. We can also cater to intermediate surfers looking for mellow peelers.
