Touch down ready for adventure
The Maldives is famed for its azure waters, diverse marine life, warm-hearted welcome, and rich culture and cuisine that’s a fusion of Indian, Malaysian, Sri Lankan, Arab, and African influences. While resorts will tether you to their timetable (and you may have to spend time in the airport on a lengthy layover or the first night in an underwhelming airport hotel on Malé), the tides wait for no one. With Adventure Yachts, you can start your trip straight away, with speedy access to marine encounters as soon as you land. A pod of spinner dolphins showing off as they pass the bow certainly adds a swirl to your sundowner.

How to get there
The main airport in Maldives is Malé International Airport, also known as Velana International Airport. There are direct flights from major European gateway cities, Doha, Dubai, and Muscat in the Middle East, and Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Hong Kong in Asia.
When to go
Whilst the Maldives is typically seen as a winter sun destination from European countries, and the months of July through September are known as the tropical season, the reality is that you’ll experience different weather patterns in different atolls. This is where an Adventure Yacht comes into its own, as you can relocate to chase the best sun, waves, or dive conditions. This takes the pressure off obsessing over weather apps the closer you get to your arrival day – we’ve got you covered!
