The story starts in 2019
Redefining ocean exploration
We share a common sense of adventure and respect of the ocean. We’ve grown to a team of over 75 in under three years, controlling the design and build of high-quality and spacious catamarans in our own custom shipyard in Thailand to deliver the best possible craftsmanship and hospitality experience to our yacht owners and charter guests.
The story starts in 2019, when Sam Jessop took his first sailing lesson, purchased a 52-foot catamaran, and set sail from Tasmania to Indonesia. Despite the challenges, he fell in love with the adventure and reflected on how he could share it. Six months later, he had a foundational business plan for Adventure Yachts, inspired by legacy charter operators yet keen to create faster and more robust, efficient and sustainable yachts and operations.
He envisioned a demand for smaller groups and flexible itineraries and gathered a strong team to design, engineer, fit, and operate a fleet of yachts with life cycle assessment as the decision base.
Our values
We are optimistic activists
Adventure Yachts is built on four key values, shared by our founders, wider team, and strategic partners. They are not negotiable or optional and form the basis of everything we do.
Be free-spirited
We embrace curiosity, creativity, and challenging the status quo. Just as our yachts offer freedom and a new perspective back to the shore, we encourage everyone to show up as their full selves to explore uncharted waters and fuel innovation and growth. By fostering a culture where freedom, safety and responsibility happily coexist, we find joy in the journey together.
Be conscious
We are deeply connected to the ocean, and we explore it responsibly. We understand our impact and therefore seek ways to reduce our footprint, while financing actions that protect the natural world and communities who depend on it. We foster an appreciation and awe for the beauty of our oceans, inspiring our team and guests to navigate them with purpose and care.
Be attentive
Every detail receives our full focus. We believe that exceptional quality is built on craftsmanship, precision and pride in engineering to inspire confidence and deliver enduring value. Our crew honour this same dedication to excellence to ensure a thoughtful and heartfelt hospitality ethos onboard.
Be bold
The ocean knows no boundaries, so we push ours, both in yacht craft and in the adventures we make possible. Investing in the future of ocean adventure experiences means we embrace forward-thinking design. We balance courage with a commitment to safety, ensuring that every bold step forward is matched by uncompromising preparation and seafaring expertise.
Our yachts
Built to move you
Our yachts are built to move you…
Beyond the confines of the shore into uncharted waters, adrift yet anchored to what matters.
Beyond memories into powerful reminders, about what you once said was important and who you once said you wanted to be.
Beyond everyday interactions into unexpected encounters, so you open your mind to new horizons.
Beyond going through the motions into feeling the emotions, as your soul untethers and your perspective shifts.
Beyond the water into the knowledge that you are water and it’s time to return home.

Shipbuilding is a family business, literally, with more than five families passing down their craft from father to son, and grandmother to granddaughter! Combining technical excellence with maritime experience, they have come on board with Adventure Yachts as a dedicated crew, assembling the main shell and structure in Bangkok and focusing on the final fit out, testing, and ongoing maintenance in Phuket. For context, they contribute over 40,000 hours per build of our AY60s. Their dedication and craftsmanship make light work of this, and we hope you think of them as you admire our yachts.
